下田市
下田市の地図
下田市（しもだし）は、静岡県東部、伊豆半島南部にある都市です。1853年、アメリカのマシュー・ペリーがに「黒船」で浦賀に来航した際、開港した都市として有名です。

下田市は伊豆半島の南にあります。駅は伊豆急行の終点で、伊豆急下田駅です。
特急踊り子号は、JR東海道線を経由し、東京駅から毎日複本運行しています。片道2時間45分で¥5890。ジャパンレールパスをお持ちの方は、伊豆急行線を片道¥2070で利用できます。新宿や池袋発の踊り子号もあります。サフィール踊り子。
普通の電車は少し時間がかかり、熱海または伊東で少なくとも1回の乗り換えが必要ですが、費用ははるかに安いです（¥3780）。

道の駅開国下田みなとには下田観光協会があり、観光のお手伝いをしています。。下田中央部は徒歩で散策できるほど小さいです。ビーチやいくつかの観光スポットに行くには、バスに乗る方が快適です。プラットフォームは駅の外にあります。

Nightlife isn't the main reason why anyone would visit Shimoda, but the town isn't completely dry.
- Ja Jah, in the southern part of town on Perry Road, plays reggae and hip-hop. A beer costs from ¥600. Closed on Mondays.
- Cheshire Cat Jazz Bar is on the street My My-dori. Beers start at ¥500.
- Soul Bar Tosaya。 Nice little bar on Perry road. Relaxed atmosphere, soul music, many cocktails, beer starts at ¥500. Food and snacks on an English/Japanese menu. Offers internet to customers.

- Irita-hama sanso (IZU015) is a cottage for 6 to 35 party. Properties are on the hill, so each cottage offers a uniquely spectacular the Pacific Ocean view.
